Excited exchanges always occur at the sight of one another,
Thoughts of food and sustenance sparks their interest.
We see them as patients, loving creatures requiring tender care.
As they see a familiar face with an endless supply of rations.

Light breaths turn into excited pants,
Subtle sniffs turn into beautiful bear hugs.
You look to the roof of the room,
And discover the true use of your coati claws.

Lovely little leaps lead you to the jungle gym of the roof.
Parading around, upside down and looking back for approval.
I laugh loud and smile big after being knocked off my feet.
Boundaries are dissolved and a true friendship is made.

Nosey nostrils descend on each new scent smelling and searching.
A perceptive encounter in search for any and all things eatable.
Every nook and cranny searched, snapped and shredded.
Some refer to you as a groupie, following large bands for years at a time.
